Hello to our last Big Event of the year, covering 2-22 December and also subbing as our test drive.

Current players can play here or make separate logs & network posts. TDM tourists are confined to this playground, but can include network prompts in their top levels.

If you’re trialling a character, you can apply them until 21 December without a game invite. TDM characters can participate in the sign-up quests without taking up a slot, but cannot vote for event outcomes.

DO YOU HEAR THE PEOPLE SING?

Taravast’s civilians take to spirited protests and seize the Palace of the Doxe. They intend to redirect Doxe Bonaccorso Spina’s attention and resources to his people, livelihoods suffered in recent undead attacks. The Merchant sends ‘help’ to oust the Doxe.

Amid the chaos, Vannozza Spina seeks to apprehend her grandfather. Her cousin Macaluso, Bonaccorso’s prisoner, can be liberated. Outgunned, outmanned and outnumbered, Bonaccorso orders the city burned down.

WHAT: Wrathion is settling into his role of 'legal pioneer, diplomat and master orator'

HOUNDS, HOWLING

Summary: To the injury of Taravast’s failure to deliver the fee of magical weapons that protects it from undead invasions, add the insult of breaking the mirror that sealed half of rival warlord Anurr’s strength. The undead coalition that takes tribute to preserve Taravast’s freedom sends their herald to remind the citadel the benefits of their alliance.

The Huntress, a horsewoman followed by horrors, rides into Taravast. Until she leaves freely, she must be diverted from lingering in one place and corrupting it.

His powers returned, the warlord Anurr calls the dead of Taravast to him and enshrouds a district in ghastly cold — leading to hostilities with one of the Huntress’ masters, the undead Three. The Beastmaster unleashes his hordes into Taravast to confront Anurr.

Facing creatures of nightmare, characters must reactivate at least two of Taravast’s fortified towers, to reinstate wall defences and deny the Beastmaster’s legions further entry.

Taravast’s sorcerers and nobles gather in shelters that need reinforcement, while humble residents require help to survive.

SCALE THE TOWER

Cousins Macaluso and Vannozza Spina vie for the favour of the witches of Bessis, in their bid to succeed their grandfather Bonaccorso as liege of magical citadel Taravast. In exchange for their endorsement, the Bessis have asked both electoral candidates to present extraordinary sorcery at a fete commemorating the Bessis truce with fellow court witches of Attaryl.

On the day of the ~~dis~~tasteful masque held in the upper levels of the Bessis tower, characters assigned to support Macaluso and Vannozza will split into two espionage missions — one upstairs alongside courtiers, charlatans and the Bessis, and another deep below, crossing abandoned aqueducts. Characters can participate in either effort, but should be discreet if they’re working against their patron.

It’s all fun and games if you’re enjoying Bessis hospitality upstairs — test drive characters might be rating their hotel stay a little less enthusiastically.
