So you use it to become better at stuff like that... [ it sounds exactly from one of those martial arts movies that Mina has actually never really watched ] Does that mean you are super good with swords?

Everyone's worlds are so different. It's kind of amazing!

Oh, it's physical! It has a, hm, a spirit of its own, a kind of soul? Most blades are only metal, not a certain level of aware, like spiritual blades are.

( He chuckles, handing her back the brush. )

It's amazing, very amazing! Amazing enough that some can summon from all those different places and end up having us all here.

though that last part makes her pause ] It'd have been cool if we had a saying or... you know, they didn't bring us here because some crazy undead guy wanted to kill us...

Oh, uh... work with us, mostly. You can feel the spirit, and it responds to the one whose golden core it's, ah... whose core it recognises as its master.

( At that, he snorts, shaking his head. )
