[ Clara hops up on the counter, the only sign of it is that she nudged over the cutting board first. ]

Wonder how long I'll be invisible. If it's forever, we might have a problem.

[ Her voice doesn't convey much worry, she assumes she wouldn't be given a small bouquet if one petal was exceedingly long-lasting. ]

Do you know if anyone else got any surprises, or just me?

[ He moves towards the counter, just staying close to Clara now that he has a general idea of where she is. ]

I did, actually. But I won't tell you what it is.

[ He sticks his tongue out at her playfully, grinning a little. ]

[makemeasong]

Oh, come on, please?

[ He may not be able to see her, but he's seen the pout and the big doe-eyed look before. ]

Have you not figured out what it is or how to use it yet, is that it?

[thedreamer]

[ Even without being able to see her now, he can't really resist. He's a soft touch underneath his bluster at times, after all. ]

Oh, I know exactly what it is, but if you know—well, alright, alright.

[ He pulls it out of his pocket, and it's another watch; one among so many that he carries. ]

I know exactly how far away you are from me at any given time. You, or anyone else. I only need to think about you.

[ Perfect for the Time Lord who is endlessly frustrated that people are always wandering off. ]

[ Right then and there, Clara knows she has to accept a simple fact: he's going to spy on hern when he's worried, and she has to make peace with it now. ]

You'd better only use that for good, mister. [ She uses her best teacher voice, then pauses. Maybe he'll detect the tilt of her head. ] ...Can you see me right now, or am I invisible to the watch, too?

It tells me that you're only one second away from me, so yes, it knows where you are. You won't be able to hide from me, Clara. Not ever.

[ The tone of his voice suggests he's making no promises about using this only for good. ]

[ She huffs, then peers closer at the watch, leaning in. ]

Do someone else, I wanna see it in action. Think about—have you met Kahl? How far away is he?

[ Not spying...science! ]

[thedreamer]

[ Bit naughty of her, though he can't help but encourage it. He enjoys the idea of showing it off, after all. ]

Kahl, absolutely! We're brothers. [ Said with a big grin. And just a moment later, he thinks of Kahl and the watch shows that Kahl is only a five minute walk away from him. ]

[makemeasong]

Us too! He's taught me a lot about his version of Earth, and I've taught him about mine.

[ She watches the time form and she has to admit it's pretty cool. And it does make her feel somewhat more protected even if he is going to use it to be invasive. As she sits beside him, Clara starts to appear again, first her feet, and then all the way up her body. It takes a total of ten seconds for her to fully appear again. She has no idea yet, still peering at the watch. ]

When there's chaos then, just don't short it out thinking of too many people at once.

[thedreamer]

Oh, there you are, Clara! [ He grins a little as she starts to reappear, realizing she probably hasn't noticed herself yet. ]

Thirty minutes exactly! Now we know. Useful if you need protection. Hold tight to these, Clara.

[ He's honestly relieved to know that she has these and he hopes she won't hesitate to use them in a dire situation, if he can't be there himself to protect her. ]

[makemeasong]

Oh, I'm back?

[ She's grinning, because that's honestly a pretty handy trick. ]

I'll keep them safe but...how? We tend to be mobile, and I can't pick all the flowers at once, so I suppose I have to look like a bride? I need to get some sort of bag.

[ Note to self, but also to him because the way he finds things, he'll discover something first. ]

We'll be here for a bit longer, I'm sure I can find something. Or make something. Or find someone who can make something!

[ He'd offer his coat with his endless pockets, but he does need it himself, and he can't be sure they'll always be together. The petals will keep her safe when they aren't together. ]

[makemeasong]

I believe in you. [ She grins and holds the bouquet, then her opposite hand out so he can help her down from the counter. ]

In the meantime, I'm gonna go put these up in my room. I'll be back to eat, later. Save some of your best for me.
