He’s naturally suspicious of anyone who isn't family, so it means something that he believes Wrath when he agrees to keep this quiet. Somehow it barely seems to matter that he's putting his trust in a demon, and he only reflects on that after he leaves. On the other hand, it makes sense that he'd know about curses. If Five hadn't been half out of his mind, he may have considered getting his opinion on that specific mirror. Instead his temper had gotten the better of him. It was a stupid mistake, even if it did ultimately help with his curse.
Just not enough to end it.
Once he's alone, Five turns to the empty room, and he fights back the sudden urge to tear it apart in frustration. Instead, he paces the length of it before he collapses into a sofa that deflates in a cloud of dust. He waves it away and feels every bit his age as it settles back around him.
After everything Wrath told him, he has plenty of other problems to occupy him. He's finally thinking clearly, so now is the time to figure them out. In a minute he'll come up with a plan and bounce back from the disaster that was Taravast. If he can't before the curse catches up to him... he'll have to reconsider his options.
