Rocky Road
WHO: Catra (
plentystrong) and Lan Sizhui (
paperbutterflies)
WHEN: Evening of July 3rd
WHERE: Along the road
WHAT: Just getting way more touchy feely with some rocks than they ever wanted to.
WARNINGS: snakes
It's been three days since the caravan left Sa-Hareth. They're on the road all day, and at nightfall they set up camp. So far, Catra is not having any problems except the perpetual cold, but she's... not exactly getting used, but at least sort of numb to it. Still, she knows she needs to conserve her strength, so she hunkers down against a nook in the rocky wall climbing god knows how high on one side of their encampment, leaning against a sculpture among several they've passed on their way here, which doesn't really hold her interest beyond being something to lean on.
It's a bit on the fringes of the group, because she doesn't want to deal with people, but she does want to observe them. But eventually, once she is satisfied that everyone else is doing their own thing, she allows herself to close her eyes for at least a light sleep. Deep sleep eludes her always, as that is just what happens when you're constantly in survival mode, but as a soldier and a catgirl, she'll take what she can get.
She's halfway off to sleep when something shifts beneath her, and just drowsy enough that her reaction is delayed, so when she's blinked a few times and able to see again, she finds herself in an unknown place, barely lit by torches, devoid of people. Quickly, she takes in her surroundings; she appears to be in a cave of some kind, before her a gaping pit. The pathway she's on turns out to actually be spiralling stairs, descending ever more into the pit.
Catra doesn't like it.
But behind her, the stone wall is forbiddingly seamless, holding no clue as to how she got in here, or more importantly, how she could get out. Panic rises inside her and she scratches desperately at the rock, looking for maybe a hidden pathway... ?
"HEY!" she yells, and her voice echoes eerily all around her.

"You too, huh?" Trying to keep it casual and not show how freaked out she is. "Anybody else in here?"

"So it seems, Lady. And I do not believe so. I was patrolling for the watch, and there did not seem to be an alarm, I think if several people were missing, there would be one."
He may already be using the crystal to let people know he has been taken. Possibly.
