[It isn't the first time that something's slipped into the back of Carol's mind and tried to play her like a puppet, but it's been a very long time. Maybe that's why it's as easy as it is, for Anhurr to send a chill down her spine and lure her out towards the gates.

Maybe it's just the fact that she's been alone for so long. Maybe it's that the Supreme Intelligence is what she's familiar with, and Anhurr doesn't operate the same way. Neither point really matters in the end - what does is the fact that by the time Kamala tracks her down, she's within shooting range of the gates, and starting to float upwards to get a better angle.

The gates need to come down. That's the order, and she's a soldier. It's not up to her to question why.]
