He never did ask exactly how he does it, or if they're all just an illusion for the creature to jump through. It works, and he blinks the moment the lion seems to notice. As expected, the first blink only gets him halfway there. The potion Karsa gave him still has a drain on his powers, but it gives him another brief view of Wrathion. Not enough to see if the beast pounced on the right version of him, but true to the plan, he doesn't try to find out until he blinks again.
This time he reaches the beacon. He takes exactly one second to identify the center dais and scrambles over to insert the token.
That was the easy part. With that accomplished, he ducks down and turns his attention to Wrathion, and sets the clock running in his mind. The lion is closer than he'd like, but he can't help him now. If it, or more of them turn their attention to him, there's no way he can stay here and fight them off. All he can do it wait. ]
