Hello! Coming back to this — here are two memories belonging to Matthia that can be recovered from the cauldron. Note that their 'quality' might be a little questionable, with occasional flickers of blurriness or missing words — not unlike viewing footage that has been impaired as a result of reconstitution. Both memories are viewed from Matthias' vantage.

Memory i: inside an office decorated with various plaques of the Ellethia institute of technology and magic, Matthias is making a hard drink for a man, Fabien, who bemoans that their team leader has been postponing giving approval to collect a suspected power source from seas off Elethia's coastline. Matthias remarks that several other ministries of Ellethia have learned about this unusual, so far unidentified power source, and are racing to claim it. Everyone has been struggling to retrieve it because of feral sirens and is at a diplomatic and logistical standstill. Fabien proposed creating a ferocious magical storm to dispel the sires and other ships, while the institute's people to collect the power source. The team leader fears casualties. Fabien insists the other ships are manned by cowards and bureaucrats, who will all pull back at the first glimpse of an ugly storm. Now is the time to act, Fabian says... and their team leader is no where to be found for consultation. Fabien admits he has come to Matthias, because he can also give the approvals in the team leader's absence. Reluctantly, Matthias agrees, but urges Fabien to make a storm that first rains down blood, so that the other ships are subtly forewarned to withdraw.

Memory ii: Matthias and several workmates, all wearing similar white coats, are crossing an urban landscape, when they run into a gaggle of young adults in academic uniforms. The young people greet the technicians with something not unlike reverence, except for one pretty blonde young woman, who stares at Matthias without a word. One of Matthias' workmates asks if the young woman is one of the numerous admirers of Matthias' work. The young woman says she has not admired him since she was a child — and walks away. Matthias' workmates laugh awkwardly and say you can't please everyone. As it starts to rain, Matthias is unexpectedly shielded by a umbrella — as the Merchant, coming from behind and also wearing a white coat, says it's time to go back to work.
