Wrath has pulled the dagger from the head of the scorpion all over again when the next creature attempts to strike. It's a serpent though, an undead serpent as Wrath is the King of Hell, the Lord of the Dead. At some level, it must respond to his authority should Wrath choose to wield it as he won't be fast enough to stop it in any other way so he commands it instead as its fangs drip venom, and it rears back to strike. Wrath commands it:
"Stop."
This is not Wrath's serpent as this is not Wrath's world. It works but only for a moment as it shakes its head and remembers who its true master is. Wrath responds before it can attempt to strike again. He rushes forward full demonic speed with its mouth still open, and Wrath buries the dagger up through its mouth into the soft of his head into its brain.
It dies in an instant. Its hold on Benedict slacks in turn as the creatures body falls.
