The knight nodded. He tried to give himself down time, but he was having a hard time settling in so to speak. This place had him on guard more often than he could rest. But that gave him no cause to fail on his oath. He would be the other's sword, shield and unswerving companion no matter what.

Only death could make him break that vow. And he'd only allow himself a rest in death if he died fulfilling his oath to the Luminary.

So as the other seemed to take his leave, the words had his ears perk up and for a long moment of silence he looked at the other. "We have fought and we've bested him so he will trouble us no longer."
