Clearly his new bosom friend is only used to nice smoothe carriage rides. This is far more like the rides of Jacob's youth on "borrowed" horses, through the countryside of Crawley, jumping fences and skidding over gravel driveways. And while yes, this beast is considerably wider and thus the riding stance is much tricker, Jacob really is having a fantastic time mastering it.
