Ooooh, the second one sort of fits best and also has the potential for great comedy in that he will hold out hope forever that one day he can make use of it... one day... and he will only grow more comedically impatient.
For the other things, I think I'll take sensing if they were raised by the Huntress, her undead don't touch/attack him/ spooky emotional connection to her and nagging sense of where she is. I'll leave him without any control because that way it's funnier if he tries to negotiate with them when they don't attack... and they just keep saying 'HUNGRY?' back.
