[Thankfully, it's only that bit of the stairs that is rotten and of course, Xie Lian and his incredible bad luck had to hit it, but at least it's not too hard to pull him out... and from up close it becomes more noticeable that under the white flowy robes, he's actually mostly hard muscles, so he helps quite a lot in pulling himself out. Still...]
