There's a moment before she answers, a rare glimpse of her own uncertainty before the mask falls back into place and she smiles, shrugging. "Well that's a complicated question. This is my body, as it was when I died."

But it can't be hers. She's painfully aware of that.

"Last I remember, I was...something like a hallucination, mentally linked with my husband's companion. There was nothing physical about it. At least there shouldn't have been." She's still not entirely sure how the Doctor had managed to interact with her, but she'd given up asking how he does the impossible long before she died.

"To be honest, sweetie, I thought that might be the end." And she hadn't been exactly disappointed. She hadn't asked for her afterlife any more than she'd asked for most things in her life.
