Think it's symbolic - you do it like you'd ordinarily kill someone.
( red grimaces, but there's really no making any of this any better than what it is.
it's a shitty situation, because that is what hell requires. that is what the afterlife requires: tests and punishment. )
There's probably something else there behind the mask like one of the demons roaming around here.
