Driven by instinct, anything to keep it from clawing him, Vanessa throws herself forward with her knife in hand, collapsing onto the creature with intent on finality even as it tries to throw her off. Pure luck keeps her from the poisoned claws, but she's too uncoordinated still from her head injury to be kind in her kill. She stabs it once, twice, then a third time until the blade is buried in the harpy's eye. With both hands tight on the weapon, expression grim, she jerks and twists the knife down to its hilt until the harpy's movements and shrieks abruptly end. ]
