It's better if they think he's just mean and stupid, while he's thinking through what sort of damage could be done down here. Maybe not right now, but he's getting a better look at this place. There's always weak points in everything.
And Kahl's getting a better look at their King, too. Rathakku looks like what would happen if Vay Hek got Infested. Somebody that's fine with tricking others into dying for him.
