With the man having underestimated her as one of the more frail women hiding out in the Wards, she’s able to stomp and elbow her way free before he can react with anything other than a muttered, ”Bitch…” She spins with her knife out and pointed for their throats when another man looks ready to try to grab her again, and now that she’s been wrongly handled, Vanessa has a willingness to shed blood. She likely looks ridiculous with her little blade against men with swords, but the two still seem more hesitant to violently attack a woman with everyone staring.
