Stephanivien (with Tess as his negotiator/middleman) was thinking of reaching out to Eles to gauge his interest in handguns (primarily flintlock pistols). It would only be a few of them, designed more as specific artisan weapons (e.g. x & x & x) in a nice box with some care basics a la dueling pistols, though probably only one gun per box, all nicely branded with a distinct rose motif as the maker's sigil.

The idea was Tess would present Eles with an example finished product. Stephanivien personally would probably seek maps, but he & Tess would be going more for trying to see if Eles would be interested in a longer-term partnership from a distributor angle, and less directly "we're trying to get stuff for Alem".
