Clara smiles a little and exhales. "Yeah. Yeah, I get that," she admits, dragging her foot in the snow on the step below them. She's pretty sure she can explain most of her situation with the Doctor without actually revealing he's here with her. She doesn't want anyone to know these things if they meet him.

"There's someone I—well. I love him. But our timing was off in the worst way. It can't work anyway, he's immortal, I'm not. The age difference is astounding," Clara tries to joke.
