The Doctor always has had a... strange manner about him. Wrathion takes a moment to calculate if this latest comment is intended as a real compliment, or sarcasm. He settles on real -- the man is uncommonly earnest in most things he does, and likely this is one of those moments. The flame in his hand winks out, and he gives a slight not. A little awkward to acknowledge a comment on boasting as flattery, but he'll take what he can get. The 'air of authority' part was certainly worth holding on to.
