In the dim flicker of the torchlights, Vanessa will cast a glance of admiration the Doctor's way. Everyone else has been doing well to prove their value so far. Now she needs only to not slow them down more than she already has.
It's a wish quickly granted when she turns to realize that the distant howls have gone silent from the large one as well. The earlier rush of the smaller brother seems to have distracted her senses, because when she turns, Vanessa could swear she sees a goliath of a beast standing at the other end of the corridor. If so, it hulks near to the very top of the massive tunnels, at least until it hunches over.
A shaky gasp when she realizes that it means to charge. The horns could gore them all in one or two goes. Would the Doctor's method work on it, too? ]
