A soft snort flees Magnus’ lips, fighting off the urge to burrow deeper into Alec’s side rather than pull away from it. It doesn’t help that he makes for the world’s greatest pillow, but Magnus is going to continue to be deadweight if he doesn’t do something about the crippling fever and soreness overtaking him at the moment.

“You know me far too well,” he jokes in return as he slowly but surely pries himself free to grasp the talisman and examine the fire pit. “I think I can handle the rest from here, although if I faceplant into the fire, please know that I loved you and your abs.”

But he’s fairly confident he can make it on his own. Just baby steps…Standing up again is really the hard part, and he’s fairly confident he’s managing.
