10-4. Over and out. Affirmative. Roger that.

[ Picture a delighted Doctor on the other end rapid-firing words that all mean the exact same thing. More seriously, though: ]

Meet me at bounty hunters.

[ She's done it, of course she has. Never a doubt. Now, one last thing. Well, two last things. Getting out of here, and making sure Harold can't be blamed for this. To the Doctor, getting out of here without being captured matters less than making sure Harold is okay. He's a good man with a family, just trying to get by. He doesn't deserve to be collateral damage here. In these types of high stakes situations, the Doctor doesn't always have the benefit of being able to make sure every single person affected by his actions is okay in the end, though he tries. He always tries. Sometimes he has to make the hard choices, though, for the greater good. In this case, there's far more flexibility, and time.

"It's getting late now, my friend. Nearly time to go home, eh? Get a good night's rest. You've done incredibly well, high marks all around. I do hope we meet again soon, and I'll see myself out."

He turns to go, but over his shoulder, very casually, he says, "Before you leave, don't forget to call your boss. Tell him that Inspector John Smith was here for the audit and that you passed with flying colors. Also, Harold, being candid, you deserve better than this place. You're clever and dedicated, they'd be lucky to have you, well, anywhere but here."

He leaves him with a cheerful smile, a handshake, and an awkwardly doled out hug with a pat on the back. Of course, his intention in saying that is the moment the phone call is made - if it's made - the baron will realize that Harold was duped. He didn't steal anything himself, and he was manipulated. Nothing was his fault. But he did the right thing, in the end, by calling to alert his supervisor and "sounding the alarm," essentially. Or, perhaps, Harold will find a better job, one that's deserving of him.

As the Doctor leaves, he doesn't turn to look behind him; Harold's fate is in his own hands now, but the Doctor has done his best to help either way. The choice is his.

Once he's safely out of the building, the Doctor texts Red to find out where she is and meet her there. ]
