[He can't help his caution. Even though--or perhaps especially because--this isn't his world and he knows no one else here save the people that have been dropped into the situation with him from their own worlds, he cannot help the wariness he always feels. It's hard not to doubt anyone and everyone's motives. And when their are being sheltered by a group of urchins known for their cunning, thievery and mischief, perhaps caution is well-founded.

But he accepts that they all have a limited time frame for the job they have been given. They must get the papers they need before the ships arrive. And he cannot reject assistance from others in this endeavor.]

Perhaps that would be helpful. I am not the most suited for subterfuge. I have been attempting to leverage my skills in the medical field for to some advantage instead.
