[Yes, being blind is hard to deal with sometimes. Xingchen has gotten pretty used to it these past few years, though, but the location changes their group undertakes always keep him on his toes. It seems as if the moment he grows truly comfortable somewhere, they're on the move again and he has to start all over again.
And now he's on a ship and it's hardly stable footing and it's pretty exhausting to both try to mentally map out the area and keep from bumping into people or straight up falling over.
This is going to be a long trip.
However, one of the...perks of being blind is the rest of his senses having been enhanced to compensate. There is plenty of commotion on a sea vessel, it turns out, both living occupancy and the ship itself groaning and creaking, but one voice in particular reaches him from across the way.
He stops what he's doing - scrubbing the deck to the best of his ability - and immediately stands up to make his way toward that voice. It's been so long. It could be a trap. He's fallen for more than one of them in this strange world. But he has to know.
Xingchen bumps into crewmembers and travelers alike, earning him sharp retorts and a few shoves, but he keeps moving nonetheless.]
