(And there seems very little chance that 'we' refers to the whole group rather than Five's family alone, so surely it's coming somewhere down the line, but he'll cross that bridge when he gets there.) It's actually pretty refreshing to converse with someone who speaks his language. Negotiating boundaries with a very dubious ally who might turn on him at any moment, so that at least the both of them won't get gobbled up by the much more dangerous threat lurking over their shoulders...
