So far, I believe I have managed to isolate which characters are numbers, although I cannot yet tell which is which. I have also made a list of reoccurring words, which I assume would refer to crops or cattle, but these I will have no way to decipher until I can get someone to read them aloud and match them to something.
The language does appear to use an alphabet, which makes it easier because it only requires learning the symbols, but also harder when you come from a language that does not.
