[ Wrathion tenses, barely perceptibly, but resists the urge to flinch back from the touch. Even so much as Wangji projects his actions, moves slowly, Wrathion is not often touched.
He keeps his distance, aloof, haughty, dismissive. People do not seek to touch him, they rarely even seek to know him. They think they already do know him.
The muddy water coats the scrape on his leg, and Wrathion lets out a low rumble as he feels it begin to do something. Good or ill or both he cannot say, but it certainly is doing something. He shifts his weight, enormous clawed foot lifting from the ground to test the movement of the limb. To see if it still twinges unhappily, or if that twinge is fading as quickly as Wangji's own injuries.
For now, at least, it seems to be improving. ]
It seems it does. Answers that provoke more questions. Is this source the same as that which corrupts and twists animals and plants? Or is it something that looks the same, but is entirely different? Perhaps small doses are safe, but long term it asks a price.
[ More questions. He lowers his head to the cracks, trying to sense out something he might have missed, then swings his head around to look at the area thoughtfully. ]
