[Xingchen's cry rips through him and Zishu finds himself racing towards the source. He draws his Baiyi, furious, slicing into the beasts that surround what he hopes is a still living man. The bright crimson spray and the howls of the wounded animals do nothing to appease him, but he is done with them. Either they will die or find some way to flee.
Gritting his teeth, Zishu kneels down beside Xingchen and gently searches for the man's pulse. He rips cloth from his robes to staunch the gravest wound, applying pressure to encourage the wound to clot.]
Xingchen? Can you hear me? [Even if he receives an answer, he lifts the man into his arms, readying himself to take him...somewhere safer. Anywhere than this hell pit.] I've got you. You're safe.
