The knight listened intently and finally nodded. "I would be interested in hearing about all that has gone on in my absence." And even as he said those words, they sounded odd to his own ears. But then again that was the way this whole thing was going to go he supposed.

"And I apologize for my absence. I surely had no intention of leaving you and not being able to keep you safe."
