I'm aware loosely of customs for some places I have visited, but none are quite like this. For example, I'm familiar with unions that take place in places of worship by an ordained member of common religions -- but having never attended I wondered if the descriptions I had received might have been... lacking. None mentioned wailing, a festival style of atmosphere nor many of the other features these unions share.
