one of those earlier nights

Wei Wuxian doesn't so much as swan inside as smile when Anduin 'catches' him in the act of existing in the other man's house, eyes bright, shoulders unhunching a touch from the high-key horror of his escape over this direction. The dogs are mostly indoors at night, caught and kenneled around their master's homes, but he lives like a shadow thing when he's like this, and the night is friendly for all the reasons of rest that evades him.

He holds up a small basket, plainly woven, and exposes the fruits tucked within, under the fold of an equally unremarkable cloth.

"Anduin!" As if there's anything other than the watching of Zenobius that tied them closer together, rather than simply coexisting in the same state of chaos that they all moved within since being abducted by those with craven, cruel plans on a world none of them claimed as their own. "Hungry?"

Visitors in the night bearing gifts are probably also bearing news one doesn't wish to hear, like, I'm sleeping over because my fox-whisperer clan-home is falling apart around our ears, literally.
