Curses weren't really a thing, where he was from, so all he had to go on was Xie Lian and his insistence that the weddings had been as much a sham as any of the other means of dealing with the various curses around here that the villagers had tried. He thought he might have been on to something, but -- well, he's willing to hear both sides of the argument, at least.
