Have you heard the story they use as a justification for these... weddings? If they were really cursed by a fox god, it's a little more involved than cleaning up a few shrines to break it. This is what you should do normally, all the time.

Fox spirits aren't naturally bed... but they hold grudges for a long time. They won't forget who wronged them. Breaking a curse from a fox can be tricky.
