The more the merrier!

[Gods. How. How was his luck this rotten?

He'd managed to avoid the bandits so far, but he wasn't built for this wilderness nonsense. Give him dark alleyways and he'd know exactly where he was going. But here? Absolutely not. His sense of direction wasn't honed with trees in mind.

So there'd been nothing else for it. He had to follow them, or he'd never find his way out of here. At least that was easy enough. They were driving prisoners ahead of them, occasionally shouting in some language he couldn't understand--until suddenly he could, once he picked up a crude-looking charm they'd left behind. Odd. He didn't think they'd be capable of enchantments like that.

He hoped they'd lead him to a road. But even more than that, he hoped they'd stop soon. They were all human, and that meant all he had to do was wait for nightfall, when their sight would fail them. And he'd had so much recent practice stalking beasts--maybe he'd finally have a chance to taste something better.

...Or maybe that would have to wait. He flattened himself against a tree as another human went careening by him, almost directly into the path of the bandits. Gods, how many people were there in these woods? What next? Kenku roosting in the trees? Gnomes hiding under a rock?

Still. He might be able to make use of this one. He crept closer, stopping once the man caught sight of him. Not that he really wanted to be seen by anyone--he probably looked a mess right now.

Well that was a fine hello. Projecting, much?]

I don't feel like giving them a chance for that. [He smiled, the expression carefully reigned in to hide his fangs.] I'd rather turn some bandits inside out. Interested?
