Well they weren't ignoring them, because the dead were ruling the place but it was just... normal, to have them around. People weren't particularly horrified by it.

... Some of them retain their memories and personalities. Others... not so much. I don't know why. And some of them are very powerful and can command the others, and make more like themselves.
