Well, it's been captured, kept in a frozen pool, and now it's stuck in in a moat too small for it... I think being annoyed is a pretty normal reaction.

When I arrived, me and others were held on a boat, and they had a room with a mirror. They would drag us in front of it regularly and it sort of siphoned memories and power out of us. It didn't really steal them, I guess, we got them back eventually but... it was very unpleasant when it happened.

... The pool might have been a replacement for a mirror. We found a lake that acted like one, once.
