The best alibi
WHO: Beitang Moran, Wen Qing, Wei Wuxian, and OPEN
WHEN: Juste before and during the heist on Urbano's quarters for the map.
WHERE: Some halls in the Doxe's palace/
WHAT: Moran decides to be the alibi and the distraction for his more heist-minded colleagues.
WARNINGS: Lecherous old men?
[1.A Exchanged at birth - For Wei Wuxian]
[Both Beitang Moran and Wei Wuxian have marveled at their own physical resemblance before, but their has never been an occasion to put it to use, any confusion having been, so far, accidental.
Not so anymore. If they are to succeed, then Wei Wuxian needs to be free of his movements for hours at a time, uninterrupted. And thankfully, Moran has taken early steps, upon arrival, of being mostly secluded in his own rooms. Between that and the rumors of his ill health he can easily spin a tale of being too tired and resting in his apartments while donning Wei Wuxian's garb and walking around in it conspicuously enough to be noticed.
Now all that is needed is to actually exchange robes, which can be done discreetly in Moran's quarters where he expects his twin from another world. Surely, someone with Wei Wuxian's ingenuity will be able to come in unnoticed.]
[1.B Exchanged at birth - in public / Open]
[Moran honestly doesn't really give much of a thought to what he's wearing on most day, and the dress is not uncomfortable per se, but he realizes easily enough why Wei Wuxian shifted to this kind of attire instead of the more masculine one. The amount of people who have been trying to touch him inappropriately in the past hour is quite honestly staggering, and while a glare has been enough to stop many of them, it hasn't stopped everyone.
And just then, Moran dodges another hand that seemed to be heading straight for his crotch.]
Sir! That is wholly unnecessary if all you require is a blessing.
[2. Gambling on reputation - For Wen Qing]
[The second part of the plan required a few days to put into place, but that was easy enough. A few rumors that the newly arrived seer, courted by the Attaryl but not yet won to their side, was very fond of that new chess game he had learned, and then an invitation sent to Don Urbano for a game over a glass of wine, and with... company.
Lady Wen has been most agreeable to consent to participate in this. And Moran would usually see this as the kind of intellectual games he is so fond of, but it is a bit different when there are other participants, and as they make their way towards one of the palazzo's salons, set aside for their use, he asks.]
Are you certain you want to go through with this, lady Wen? The man, from all accounts, might behave quite rudely, and I might have to pretend to as well.

Now, it's different. She's doing this for good reason, to help their party and to hopefully get some clues regarding Lady Vannozza's health. So when Moran stops, she looks at him, then off to the distance. ] I am certain.
[ A slight, wry smile. ] I am used to men behaving rudely. As I do not intend to actually marry him, consider it a lesson.

Then let us proceed.
And thank you again for your help with my... problem.
[He is supposed to be her uncle so he will walk in front with her behind, and it's easy enough for him to summon his usual royal bearings and give small nods tot he servant opening the door and then announcing them. And once in front of their target, he will give the man a nod, but no bowing, but throw a glance behind himself as if he expects her to bow - of course, manners, young lady.]
My Lord Urbano, my niece wished to keep us company tonight. I do hope this is not an inconvenience in any way.
[One look at Wen Qin in her beautiful red gown that hugs her in all the right places seems to make the decision.]
"Not at all, not at all! A most beautiful flower for these halls."
She is recently widowed, and needs for company and entertainment, the poor dear.

All of which is easy to do, ingrained as it is into her; a polite bow to the servant opening the door, keeping her eyes downcast, and only shyly glancing up when Moran mentions her. ]
My lord is too kind, [ she says softly to Don Urbano, then looks away again, casually glancing at Moran from the corner of her eyes. Even with her reputation, Urbano seems unconcerned, which is hardly a problem. Perhaps it hasn't reached his ears yet.
Although espionage isn't her specialty, and she has no desire to play politics in this world or the next, Wen Qing still listens as they talk. After all, some of it will involve her. ]

Hmmm, we should probably make a bet of sorts on this game, to make it more interesting. What say you, My Lord?
'A most excellent idea, indeed.'
Indeed... Alas, as you know, I am but newly arrived here, and I possess no treasure except for my niece here. I cannot in good conscience wager her like this, you will agree.
